Objective 7: Calculate probability using Venn diagrams.
Activities:
 Warm Up: Make a Venn diagram using whole numbers less than or equal to 20.
 and even whole numbers less than or equal to 20.
 Review parts of Venn diagram and what they represent.
 Whole Class: Question 1 (Unit 2, SAS 1)
 Pairs: Questions 2 and 3, then Whole Class discussion
 Pairs: Questions 4 -5
 Individually: Questions 6 -10
Assessment: #6-10
Materials: Unit 2, Activity 1 sheet
Objective 7: Calculate probability using tree diagrams.
Activities:
 Students individually construct tree diagram for #1 and share out to the whole
group.
 Pairs: Questions 2-7 then share with whole group.
 Review new vocab: conditional probability
Materials: Activity 2 sheet

Objective 6: Apply, compare, and contrast ratios, rates, ratings, averages, weighted averages, or
indices to make informed decisions.
Objective 2:: Communicate with orally and in writing making accurate and clear presentations of
solutions to problems
Activities:
 Students Presentations of Weighted Averages Project
 Peer Evaluations
Materials: student-made presentations
