Learning Activities:
Warm-up: Verbs
Guided Practice: Group fill out verbs list.
Instruction: Students take guided notes over the preterit
tense focusing on regular/spell-change/ ir and ser, know their
uses and conjugations.
Independent Practice:
-Conjugate verbs in preterit. (speaking)
Independent Practice:
-Fill out preterit conjugation chart. Check partner work.
Assessment: Preterit quiz on Friday.
Follow up: Preterit conjugation chart due on Friday.
Warm-up: Conjugate car/gar/zar verb
Guided Practice: Students explain the reason of spell change
in car/gar/zar verbs.
Independent practice: Students receive the rubric describing
the inclass “mini” verb project practicing the preterit tense.
Students understand the expectations and see project
samples. Students begin working on assigned verbs and
sentences due by next class period.
Assessment: Preterit quiz on Friday.
Warm-up: Complete sentences using proper preterit tense.
Assessment: Students complete mini-verb project.
Independent practice: Practice conjugation. Game to review
