Lesson Plan Pre-AP Spanish 3 11/10 through 11/14 Teacher: D. Lara Learning Target: Students learn and show the differences of the two past tenses: preterite vs imperfect. They recall conjugations for both tenses and learn how to use them in poster. Students will also continue to show comprehension and mastery of this concept by taking an evaluation over these tenses and show their reasons. Monday 11/10 - TS works on class project preterit vs. imperfect Warm-up: Students conjugate in preterit and imperfect. Group assessment: Students create poster re-creating their notes about preterit vs. imperfect Tuesday 11/12 - TS continues to work on their project in class. Warm-up: Describe a painting using proper adjectives. Directions for art project. (Students start working on visual for project) Group assessment: Students finish poster project re-creating their notes about preterit vs. imperfect Wed 11/13 - TS shows mastery over preterite vs imperfect - TS learn use of estar + past participle. Friday 11/15 - TS practices use of estar + past participle Warm up: Sentences using preterit vs. imperfect Individual assessment: Students show mastery and take conjugations over preterite vs imperfect. Instruction: Grammar notes for “estar”+ past participle Independent practice: Use of estar+ past particple, creating “new adjectives” from known verbs. Warm up: Past participle. Independent practice: Practice conditions: use of estar+ past particple, creating “new adjectives” from known verbs.
