effects. To apply a layer effect, check the box beside it. It will open up more options to alter your
effects.
To copy identical Layer Styles onto another Layer
hold down ALT, with your cursor over the fx
button on the layer and drag it onto another layer.
You can also turn visibility on and off by clicking on
the eyeball.
To delete Layer Styles click on the fx button and drag
to the trash at the bottom of the Layers Palette.
Step 7
With a Drop Shadow and Inner
Shadow Layer Style your image

Step 8
One of the final steps you want to complete is applying Blending Modes to each layer.
The Blending Modes specified in the options bar and layers palette control how pixels in two
separate layers interact with and effect each other. It’s helpful to think in terms of the following
when visualizing a blending mode’s effect:
•
The base color is the original color in the bottom layer.
•
The blend color is the color being applied by the upper layer.
•
The result color is the color resulting from the blend.
We will leave the background layer alone.
By the time you are done applying the
blending modes your image should
look something like this.
Try experimenting with different
modes to get the final look you want.
When you are done save a copy as a
.jpeg & set quality to 10.
Save as:
Lastname_First Initial_Fractured.jpeg
and turn in.
