Graphic Abstract Coloring
Step 1.
Take a photo on the Close Up
mode on the camera that has
interesting shapes and color. Do
NOT take the photo on a white
or black background. USE color.
Step 2.
CROP Picture to a square.
To maintain the proortion of a
square hold down shift while in
Crop mode. * Remember to press
enter to apply crop.
Step 3.
Apply Auto Correct Color.
Image > Adjustments > Auto Color.
*IF you are still not happy with your
color use the other image
adjustment functions to make the
colors very bright and graphic.
Step 4.
Create a new document.
12x12 inches.
Name it:
Your first name and Graphic.
Press OK.
Now go back to original document and use the Move Tool to
move the image into the new
document. Using Ctrl T and
holding down Shift to
maintain proportion, make
your image about 2-3 inches.
This is
what you
should
have!
Step 5.
Simple. Copy Layers and start Rotating the
image to create an interesting graphic design.
Ctrl J to copy------------------ Ctrl T (right click)
to pull up rotation.
Step 6.
Experiment.
SAVE often.
HAVE FUN.
Another way to copy an image is to
hold down the ALT key over an
image, once you see the double
arrow move the mouse and you’ve
created another duplicate!
