Liberty LADY FLAMES
(9-7, 4-1 Big South)
Lynchburg, Va. - Vines Center - 2 p.m.
Today’s Game
Liberty (9-7, 4-1 Big South) will return to the Vines Center for a quick two-game Big South
homestand, beginning with a Saturday matinee against Presbyterian College (8-8, 2-3 Big
South). Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. The Lady Flames have won three games in a row, while the
Blue Hose have won each of their last two contests.
The “Starting Five” - Today’s Top Storylines
1) Liberty will look to maintain its perfect record in its head-to-head series with the Blue
Hose. The Lady Flames are 7-0 all-time against Presbyterian College, including 4-0 at the
Vines Center.
2) Presbyterian College’s defense is ranked No. 1 in the Big South Conference, allowing
just 54.6 ppg. The Blue Hose will attempt to slow down Liberty’s offensive attack, which
has produced 83.7 ppg during its current three-game winning streak.
3) Judging by past history, Saturday’s game could be a low-scoring contest. Presbyterian
College has never reached the 50-point mark in seven all-time meetings against the Lady
Flames. Meanwhile, Liberty swept last year’s season series with PC by scores of 51-40
and 49-40.
4) Although Presbyterian College is off to its best start (8-8) since joining the NCAA Division I ranks in 2007-08, the Blue Hose have yet to win outside the South Carolina state
border this season. PC has notched six home wins and road victories at South Carolina
State and USC Upstate. In four previous visits to the Vines Center, the Blue Hose have
lost each contest by an average of 35.0 ppg.
5) Liberty’s post duo of Avery Warley and Tolu Omotola will look to build upon their outstanding second half from Monday’s game at Charleston Southern. The pair combined
to score 35 second-half points after halftime. Warley and Omotola also grabbed a dozen
second-half rebounds between them, doubling up CSU’s six second-half boards as a
team.

A Look Back at Liberty’s Win at Charleston Southern on Monday
-- Liberty won when trailing at halftime for the first time this season, erasing a three-point
halftime deficit by scoring 56 second-half points. It was the first time the Lady Flames have
scored 50 or more points in a half of a Big South contest since Feb. 27, 2010.

-- Four of Liberty’s starters (Warley, Brown, Omotola and Reagan Miller) played all 20
minutes during the second half.
Offensive Explosion
-- Liberty scored 90 points during its win over Campbell on Jan. 9, reaching the 90-point
plateau for just the fourth time ever in a Big South Conference matchup and the first time
since a 94-66 victory at UNC Asheville on Feb. 27, 2010.
-- The Lady Flames followed that performance up with an 82-point outing Jan. 14 at
Coastal Carolina. This is the first time since Carey Green’s first season as head coach
(1999-2000) that Liberty has scored 80 or more points in back-to-back Big South games.
-- That year, the Lady Flames notched an 83-49 win over UNC Asheville on Feb. 12, 2000.
Five days later, Liberty beat Winthrop by an 82-42 count.
-- Liberty has now scored 80 or more points five times this season. That is the Lady
Flames’ most 80-point contests in a year since the 2007-08 squad had six 80-point outings.
Windex Warley
-- Avery Warley rebounded her own missed shot with 8:03 remaining in the first half of the
Jan. 7 game against High Point, giving her 1,034 career boards. That broke Katie Feenstra’s (2001-05) Liberty career rebounding record of 1,033 caroms.
-- Warley now has 1,076 rebounds for her career. That ranks second in Big South Conference history, 51 boards behind former Charleston Southern standout Kate Sanford’s
(1996-2000) conference record of 1,127 career rebounds.
