Homonormativity is the assimilation of heteronormative
ideals and constructs into LGBT+ culture and individual
identity, rather than critiquing monogamy, procreation, and
binary gender roles (heteronormative standards).
Homonormativity fragments LGBT+ communities into
hierarchies of worthiness.
