Tournament Outlook
Liberty (2-2) will play its lone regular-season tournament of the 2011-12 campaign Friday
and Saturday, when the Lady Flames compete in the Vanderbilt Thanksgiving Tournament
at Memorial Gymnasium in Nashville, Tenn.
The Lady Flames will play No. 12/14 Oklahoma (2-0) in a first-round matchup on Friday,
beginning at approximately 5 p.m. Eastern. Liberty’s first-ever meeting with the Sooners
will be the Lady Flames’ first matchup against a Top 25 squad this season.
Friday’s first game will be a battle of Nashville, as Lipscomb (0-5) squares off against the
host Vanderbilt (4-0) squad at 3 p.m. Eastern.
Friday’s two losing teams will face one another Saturday at 3 p.m. Eastern in the tournament’s consolation game. The championship game will follow at approximately 5 p.m.

Difficult Road Ahead
This weekend’s tournament tips off arguably the toughest stretch of Liberty’s 2011-12
non-conference schedule. Following the Vanderbilt Thanksgiving Tournament, the Lady
Flames will return home for a contest against 4-0 James Madison on Dec. 1. Liberty will

A Look Back at Tuesday’s Game Versus Virginia-Wise
-- Liberty’s first matchup with Virginia-Wise since Nov. 28, 1994 became the Lady Flames’
first home win of the 2011-12 season and snapped a two-game losing skid.

-- Liberty’s 20 steals were the team’s most in a game since a 21-steal outing against Radford on Feb. 26, 2000, during Carey Green’s first season as head coach.
-- Five Lady Flames scored in double figures against Virginia-Wise, marking the first time
Liberty has done that since Nov. 30, 2010 versus Glenville State.
-- Liberty’s bench tallied 26 points on Tuesday, meaning the Lady Flames’ reserves have

-- Devon Brown inched closer to a milestone, as her 12 points boosted the redshirt junior’s
