
Penn State University (Graduate). Current GPA 3.45/4.
Rice University (Undergraduate). Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, May
2014. Cumulative GPA of 3.61/4.
Current and Previous Research Experience:
 Experimental and Computational Convection Laboratory (ExCCL), Mechanical and Nuclear
Engineering Dept. at Penn State University. Project involves film cooling heat transfer and fluid
flow in gas turbine machinery. Active since January 2015.
 Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science Dept. at Rice University. Undergraduate materials
science research in the laboratory of Dr. Enrique V. Barrera. Project involved optimizing the
electrical conductivity of aligned carbon nanotubes. Summer 2012 – Summer 2013 (12 months).
Previous Work Experience:
 Internship at Genesis Oil and Gas, an engineering consulting company specializing in offshore
oilfield technologies, Deep Sea Risers Dept. Project involved development of a standardized
riser pipe sizing calculations spreadsheet which would serve as the department-wide initial
calculations document. Summer 2013.
 Texas Aerospace Scholars Internship in the Extravehicular Activities (EVA) Office at NASA
Johnson Space Center. Project involved organizing and cataloging hardware failure analysis
reports in an online searchable database form. Summer 2011.
