If student’s French language fluency permits, additional elective courses are available in French.
1. E8 - WP2100 Sustainable Development and Technologies
2. E11 - EN1600 Renewable Energy
Students may substitute EN1120 Heat Transfer and be used as a substitute for Penn State ME 410. Academic plan must be adjusted
by substituting an ETE in Semester 8 for ME 410.

IS2960 (ME lab)
It is suggested that students have the equivalent of 2 years of high school or 1 semester of university-level French language before
enrolling at Ecole Centrale - Paris. Students may elect to participate in a 2 or 3 week intensive French program at the Vichy Institute
prior to the commencement of courses.
6
7 Students can elect to participate in a 6 week (June 15 - July 30) paid internship when classes are completed. Ecole Centrale - Paris
will organize the internship position in a French company. Students will receive 1 Penn State credit of ENGR 195 for the experience.
ECP courses transfer as 16 Penn State credits. Transfer credits applied to Penn State mechanical engineering program as:
1. 3 credits for ME 440W/ME 441W
2. 6 credits for Engineering Technical Elective
3. 3 credits for General Technical Elective
4. 3 credits for AHS
5. 1 credit for ME lab
Upon completion of 30 ECTS course credits, students will be granted a Certificate of Accomplishment eligible to join the Ecole Centrale - Paris Alumni Association. The ECP Alumni Association has an extensive network of contacts within European Union corporations.
