Tipoff is slated for 7 p.m. inside the Vines Center for the 24th all-time meeting between the Lady Flames and the Spiders. The “Starting Five” - Today’s Top Storylines 1) Richmond has dominated the all-time series against Liberty, 20-3. However, the Lady Flames were victorious in their most recent home meeting with the Spiders, recording a 45-38 triumph on Jan. 5, 2008. 2) Both teams have bounced back from slow starts to the 2013-14 season. Liberty has won two of its last three games following an 0-4 beginning. Meanwhile, Richmond was 1-4 before recording consecutive road wins over Virginia Tech and Longwood in its last two outings. 3) Liberty is 0-2 at home to start the season and is looking to avoid its first three-game home losing streak since the 1995-96 campaign. Meanwhile, Richmond has played well on the road this season, going 3-2 away from the Robins Center. The Spiders have recorded road victories over ACC opponents Miami and Virginia Tech within the season’s opening month. 4) Tuesday’s contest will mark Liberty’s final tuneup for the start of Big South Conference play. The Lady Flames will tip off defense of their conference title Saturday at 2 p.m. with a home game against Radford. 5) Liberty’s Ashley Rininger will look to continue her fast start to her redshirt sophomore season. She has notched five double-doubles in her first seven games, highlighted by a career-high 29-point, 11-rebound outburst against Savannah State on Saturday.
