Jeff Ripp

 Mr. Ripp is the Assistant Administrator for Water at the
Public Service Commission of Wisconsin (PSC)
He previously served as the Commission’s water policy advisor
and water conservation coordinator. He graduated from the
University of Wisconsin – Madison with an M.S. in water resource
management (1998) and a B.S. in chemistry and environmental
studies (1994). Prior to joining the PSC, he conducted audits and
program evaluations for the Wisconsin Legislative Audit Bureau (a
state agency similar to the federal Government Accountability
Office). He served as staff to the U.S. House of Representatives’
Committee on Resources during the 106th Congress. In addition, he
he has worked on laboratory certification, wastewater, safe
drinking water, and source water protection issues with the
Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. In 2009, he assisted
the Governor’s office with the implementation and oversight of the
federal American Recovery and Reinvestment Act in Wisconsin,
including programs related to transportation, telecommunications,
energy, water, and wastewater infrastructure funding.
Mr. Ripp is active in professional and non-profit organizations
in his community. He currently chairs the Wisconsin Water
Association Water Efficiency Committee, and serves on the
AWWA Rates and Charges and Conservation, Education, and
Legislation Committees. He is an active member of the
Chicago-based Alliance for Water Efficiency and serves on the
NARUC staff subcommittee on water. He also volunteers as
zone chairman for Ducks Unlimited in Dane County,
Wisconsin. Mr. Ripp lives with his wife Amy in Madison,
Wisconsin. In his free time, he enjoys spending time outdoors
hunting, fishing, canoeing, biking, hiking, and cross-country
skiing.
