Dave Siebert, Director, Department of Natural Resources Bureau of Energy,
Transportation and Environmental Analysis
Dave Siebert was has been Director of DNR’s Bureau of Energy, Transportation
and Environmental Analysis since 2003.
His program is responsible for developing and implementing policy related to
state and local transportation projects, including the management of an
interagency cooperative agreement with WisDOT.
The program works closely with the Public Service Commission of WI on the
environmental impact review and permitting of all energy and utility projects
statewide-- including major transmission line, pipeline, and wind project cases.
The program is also the hub for multi-disciplinary environmental impact
assessment and review of complex projects and policies under the Wisconsin
Environmental Policy Act or WEPA.
A wetland ecologist by training, Dave has worked for DNR for 22 years.
