Gonzaga University Presents:
Theological Bioethics
A Feminist, Liberationist, and Global Optic
Featuring
Dr. Christina A. Astorga
Religious Studies Department, Gonzaga University
Theological Bioethics holds that a Christian theological commitment to social
justice should seek to shape public policy and social practices in bioethics, posing
a critique to the ethos of exclusion, privilege, and profit. This talk addresses
bioethical issues and problems within a theological framework from a feminist,
liberationist, and global optic. It contextualizes these issues and problems in
situations of marginalization, in a world where lives are interlocked, even amidst
plurality and diversity.
Thursday, April 24, 7:00 p.m.
