Chairs review wed the resultts of the preliminary priorrity scoring process comp pleted by worrk The Co-C group me embers for th he full set of 17 1 proposals under consideration. Me embers score ed each proposal on its pottential to achieve cost savvings for the Medicaid Pro ogram, to improve efficiency in health h care services, to improve quality q of care e, and to havve a positive overall impa act on Medica aid. Revisions to w presente ed to the worrk group. In response to member input, several individuall proposals were proposalss were referred back to th heir author fo or revision. Considerable C f on the discussion followed number of o proposals to t be advancced to the MR RT and how they t would be b selected. The T workgrou up voted to advance a the 12 highest scoring propo osals in the preliminary prrioritization exxercise. If the e proposal for the advis sory committe ee to the State Education n Departmentt is approved d by a a to the MRT. Proposals not being b advancced to the MRT supermajjority vote, it will also be advanced at this tim me will be sub bmitted to the e SED adviso ory committe ee as priority items for ana alysis and considera ation over a longer term. Additionally,, work group members ad dvanced two long term proposalss relative to a recommend dation that th he Department of Health study s (1) the Community Health Worker/care W management m field and ma ake specific re ecommendattions for implementation in Fall of 20 012 regarding g training, certification, an nd career patthways for co ommunity health workers and related tittles; and (2) the t training and a roles of other o direct care c workers across long term care settings.
