Colarusso, Jr. Chief of Police UPDATED Press Release UPDATED February 18, 2016 Chief Anthony Colarusso of the Dover Police Department announces an arrest in connection with several recent burglaries in the city. On February 18, 2016 at approximately 2:15 PM Dover Police Department detectives arrested Matthew Temple, 34, without incident at his residence at 56 Lafayette Street, Apt. A, Rochester, NH. Temple is charged with four recent burglaries, all felonies: A residence on Hubbard Road on February 5, 2016 A residence on Gladiola Way on February 8, 2016 A residence on Prospect Street on February 12, 2016 A residence on Glen Hill Road on February 12, 2016 All of these burglaries occurred during the daytime hours, and targeted the homeowners’ jewelry. Temple was arrested by the Portsmouth Police Department on Friday February 12, 2016, and charged with burglary in that city. After his arrest, DPD detectives were able to link him to the above four burglaries. Temple refused the services of a bail commissioner and will be arraigned at 1:00 PM in the Strafford County Superior Court on Friday February 19, 2016. The Dover Police Department continues to investigate four other residential burglaries or attempted burglaries that were reported since February 2, 2016, that occurred on County Farm Road, Lexington Street, and Cote Drive. In the meantime, the Dover Police Department is urging residents to lock their doors and windows, and to report any suspicious activity to the police department.
