Colarusso, Jr. Chief of Police Press Release September 21, 2015 Dover Fire & Rescue and the Dover Police Department are investigating a string of suspicious fires that have occurred in the city in the area of Durham Road. The first fire, a log on fire in the middle of Durham Road, was reported at approximately 2:33 AM on July 11, 2015. The second fire, a fence at a property on Mast Road, was reported at approximately 8:38 AM, on July 12, 2015. The third fire, a front end loader on a property on Mast Road, was reported at approximately 6:29 AM on July 14, 2015. The fourth fire, a mattress on fire at the end of Adelle Drive, was reported at approximately 11:50 PM on September 4, 2015. The fifth fire, a dumpster on fire at the end of Adelle Drive, was reported at approximately 1:13 AM on September 19, 2015. Durham Road is the portion of state route 108 that runs between Back River Road and the Dover-Madbury town line. Mast Road and Adelle Drive both intersect with Durham Road. Dover Fire and Rescue responded to and extinguished all the fires. All are considered suspicious at this time.
