Chief Anthony Colarusso of the Dover Police Department announces the arrest of Angela
Ferrera, 21, for stealing a firearm.
On August 26, 2015, the Dover Police Department investigated a report of a theft from a
motor vehicle on Back River Road. A resident reported that someone had entered an
unlocked vehicle and stole a semi-automatic pistol from the glove compartment.
As a result of the investigation, Dover Police Department detectives obtained a warrant
for Ferrera’s arrest on the charge of Theft By Unauthorized Taking. Because the theft
was of a firearm, the charge is a Class A felony.
Ferrera, of 31 Jackson Street, Rochester, was located in Rochester by the Rochester
Police Department and arrested on the DPD warrant. She was then transferred to DPD
custody for booking.
Ferrera was arraigned in Dover Circuit Court on September 18, 2015, and held on
$5,000.00 cash bail. She is scheduled for a probable cause hearing on July 22, 2015 at
10:00 AM in Seventh Circuit Court – Dover District.
The Dover Police Department wishes to thank the Rochester Police Department for their
