2016 SONU ELECTIONS
TIMELINES AND NOMINATION PROCEDURES
Further to our Announcement on the date of the
SONU Elections, I hereby circulate the 2016 SONU
Election Timelines for your information.
Prospective candidates and students are urged to
pay particular attention to the dates concerning
the following:
i. Collection of nomination
of Conduct.

Staff and Student Commissioners.

v. Submission of election petitions to the
Independent Election Petition Panel.
Prospective candidates are advised to thoroughly
familiarize themselves with Article 21 of the
Constitution, in connection with the nomination
procedures, especially the following:
i. Payment of nomination fees for Executive and
other Parliamentary positions.
ii. The number of seconders
above positions.
