Attendance: Rebecca Hutchinson, Alba Argerich, Jim Rivers, Dave Dickson
Meeting called to order at 10:15 am by Rebecca Hutchinson

Approval of the Minutes – we could not approve the past minutes because of the reduced
number or board members present.

Treasurer’s Report- The treasurer reported the current situation in the different accounts.

Report of the NPAW Planning Committee:
The NPAW committee proposed to celebrate a picnic and a total of 3 seminar-lunches (2
organized by the OPA + 1 organized by the OPP) during the National Postdoc Appreciation
Week.

Report of the Industry Exploration Program Committee

Report of the Professional Development Committee
Jim met with Anita Azarenco , Associate Dean of the Graduate School, to express the
interest of OPA to organize professional development events for graduate students. The
initiative was well received and the Graduate School would collaborate by taking care of the
reservation of the room at MU.
Meeting adjourned at 11:07 am due to the limited assistance.
