Lesson Plan: <9/29 to 10/3/2014>
Objective: Students will analyze the reasons why a business plan is necessary, identify the
component of a business plan and planning tools, and create a business plan for a virtual business.
Activities:
1. Showing Power Point presentations, guiding, and discussing the unit objectives based
on the initial group activities.
2. Students will take notes
3. Students will participate in discussion and ask questions.
Assessment: Notes and participation
Materials: PCs, HUB, projector, presentation ppt, notes, pencils
Follow Up/HW: Notes; any missing grades for this 6 week period

Tuesday
**DRESS FOR SUCCESS**
Activities:
1. Students will dress appropriately.
2. Students will continue and finish taking notes and participate in discussion-Test on
Wed/Thursday on HUB.
3. Introduce the next group activity on HUB – Submit by Oct.6 and Presentation Oct. 7
Assessment: Notes and participation
Materials: PCs, HUB, projector, presentation ppt, notes, pencils, group project materials
Follow Up/HW: Notes; any missing grades for this 6 week period
Wed/Thur
Objective: Students will analyze the reasons why a business plan is necessary, identify the
component of a business plan and planning tools, and create a business plan for a virtual business.
Activities:
1. Review notes.
2. Students will take the unit test on HUB
3. EverFi if finished the test early until everyone is finished taking the test
4. Group project-creating a business plan for a virtual business.
Assessment: Unit test, group participation
Friday
Materials: PCs, HUB test and assignment, group project materials
Follow Up/HW: Test, Group project due 10-6 to submit and 10-7 to present
