Teaching Masters and Doctoral classes in art education, supervising Masters thesis and Doctoral
dissertations and other administrative responsibilities at the departmental and university level. As
Director, involved in the academic direction of the art education program, development of new
courses, supervise advisement, oversee adjuncts, and other personnel within the program.

Conference in 1997 titled “Subject to Desire: Refiguring the Body”. Conceived the topic and involved
in the organization and planning of an interdisciplinary conference which brought together
internationally known artists (including performance art and video art), musicians, art historians, and
critics to examine the intersection of body as site and subject. The conference encouraged
participants to experiment and push their current work in new directions.

5/96-12/97. Co-director of National Arts Now Conference titled “Subject to Desire: Refiguring the
Body” held at Sate University of New York-New Paltz, New York in October 1997. Conceived the
topic and involved in the organization planning of an interdisciplinary conference,
which brought together internationally known artists, musicians, art historians and art critics to
examine the intersections of body as site and subject.

2/07- 5/07 Co-teaching an art class with the art teacher Lauren Adelman at Community Prep School
in New York City. Mounted an art exhibition called Hands On where students sold their artwork at the
Commons at Barney building at New York University.
8/05 Visiting Summer Scholar, Ohio State University, taught a course titled “Art, Globalization, and
Multiculturalism in a time of War, Columbus, Ohio.
6/01-7/01 Taught art to 6 to 13 year old girls at the Lower East Side Girls Club of New York.
8/99-8/00 Designed an art curriculum for 6th to 8th grade student for the Boy’s Club of New York’s
Summer School- Camp Cronwell, New York, New York.

8/90-12/91. Analyzed issues, interviewed and presented alternative news reports regarding the "Third
World" which included marginalized groups in the U.S., on "Third World News", WORT Radio,
Madison, Wisconsin.
