PERSONAL DATA: PATRICIA A. ROMANDETTO 200 Central Park South, Apt. 4J New York, New York 10019 (212) 246-1252 Email: [email protected] ACCOMPLISHMENTS: As Community Superintendent, and throughout my career, I have pursued excellence and the highest standards in both my educational life and my professional life, marked by scholarships and awards. I brought innovation to my classroom as well as to the assessment, gifted, and bilingual programs I supervised. During my tenure as Deputy Superintendent for Curriculum, Instruction and Professional Development and more recently as Community Superintendent, Community School District 3 has moved from last rank in literacy and numeracy to rank 10 and 11 respectively out of 32 school districts on the annual New York City/New York State standardized assessments. I supervised a $100 million annual budget (including $10 million in competitive grants) for 33 schools, which comprised 1,000 employees and 15,000 students. I received the Upper Westside Chamber of Commerce Education Award for Excellence in 2004 and I have been appointed to the prestigious Children’s Book Committee at the Bank Street College of Education. More recently, in April 2008, I was given the Fieri Community Leadership Award.
