Pre-College Portfolio Preparation A Two Week 2012 Summer Intensive at Rochester Institute of Technology • Monday, July 9 - Saturday, July 14 and Monday, July 16 - Friday, July 20, 2010 9 am - 5 pm • Instructors: Karen Sardisco, Monroe Community College, Bill Stephens, Webster Schroeder High School • Non-credit bearing • $900 tuition and materials fee, most art materials supplied • Scholarships awarded T his course is for high school students who will be applying for freshman acceptance into a college art program as artists, photographers, filmmakers, and designers. I t is centered around the process of preparing a college entry art portfolio with emphasis on an in-depth investigation of media, concept development, and critical analysis. Students will draw from life, exploring subject matter such as the human figure, still life, interior space and nature. They will participate in group and individual critiques, conduct visual research, and be guided through the process of portfolio selection and documentation.
