Creating a Culture of Awareness at RIT to Help Keep Children Safe While our primary mission at RIT is not focused on children they are participants inside our community. As educators, parents, siblings and citizens we care that children engaged in activities offered by and at RIT are safe while they are here. There are NYS regulations governing formal programs which children participate in and mandated reports who work or volunteer in summer camps and daycare. In addition, there are other opportunities where RIT faculty, staff and students interact with youth visiting campus or engaged in activities. We encourage members of this community to raise their awareness about keeping children safe through use of the following resources: AWARENESS RIT Risk Management Research at RIT: Human Subjects Research Report misconduct /abuse concerns involving children: RIT Risk Management Protecting Minors on Campus The Informed Consent Process with Children RIT Public Safety Emergency: (585) 475-3333 General: (585) 475-2853 Text: (585) 205-8333 RIT Summer camps and Overnight Camps- regulations http://www.rit.edu/fa/grms/content/ minors-campus ONLINE TRAINING What Should You Do If You See A Child Who Appears To Be Lost?
