Student Health Price List
Student Health professional services are covered by your Student Activity Fee, pre paid when you pay tuition and fees. This
means there is no charge for your visit with a care provider (e.g. physician, nurse practitioner, mental health clinician, or health
educator). The list below shows prices of immunizations, injections, laboratory tests, medical supplies and services. Prices are
subject to change. (NOTE: Low volume services are not included on the Price Schedule. Students are charged on a case-bycase basis.) The Laboratory located in Student Health is operated by the UVa Medical Center and will file lab charges to most
insurance companies.
As a patient, it is your responsibility to know and understand your insurance plan benefits and your responsibility for any preauthorization, deductibles, co-insurance, or co-payment amounts prior to any visit. Not all services are covered in all insurance
contracts. If your insurance plan does not cover a service or procedure, you are responsible for payment of these charges.
Student Health does not accept nor file Medicaid claims for charges such as injectables, supplies, immunizations and allergy
injections, and copies of your medical record. These charges will be placed on your SIS account. However, the Laboratory
and Pharmacy located in Student Health are satellites of the UVA Medical Center and will file prescription and lab charges to
Medicaid.
