The BA Art History Major requires 60 credit hours in art and art history, of which 30 must be taken at DU or with DU Faculty. Excess art credit will not
count, unless it fulfills an art minor.
Credit earned with less than a “C-” grade cannot be applied toward fulfillment of a major or minor. Of the 183 credits required for the BA degree, a
minimum of 75 credit hours must be upper division (2000-3000 level).
A student may register for a maximum of 10 independent study credits.
The BA student must complete either a minor or a second major.
