After Images: Abu Ghraib, A Decade Later A decade has passed since the release of photographs showing U.S. soldiers torturing detainees at Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq. This panel discussion considers, ten years later, the living legacy of Abu Ghraib and the photographs taken there. Panelists will address Abu Ghraib's relevance to on-going debates about "enhanced interrogation" and torture, the power and limitations of the photographic images, gender and militarization, and human rights. Panelists include: Jared Del Rosso (Sociology and Criminology), Diane Waldman (Media, Film & Journalism Studies), Lindsey Feitz (Gender & Women's Studies), and Claude D'Estree (Josef Korbel School of International Studies).
