a. All committee reports will be given at SGA Forum on, Monday
October 27, 2014 at 7 p.m.
Old Business
a. Reading of Minutes
i. Minutes were sent out to campus community via Ms. Bradley
ii. Minutes were accepted at 8:07 p.m.
b. Attendance (failure to comply)
i. There will be a one absent leeway, as of tonight absence start
to go into effect. There will be a $75 fee toward your
organization. Warnings for deactivation will be sent out via
email by the end of the week.
c. SOAR Committee Finalized
i. All student, faculty, and, staff members are finalized
New Business
a. SOAR Requests
i. Strongly encourage organizations to apply for the SOAR
Fund. Submit application to Ms. King, and it will be given to
Vice- President, Kendall Walker, and then an interview will
be setup with the SOAR Committee.
b. SOAR Contact List
i. Being uploaded online to the SSU website.
c. Approval of Student Senate Public Relations Officer (Rakeeb Akande)

a. Why was there cancellation of the first senate meeting?
i. President (Alyana Stovall) did not want to give information
that was not up to par.

ii. How are community service hours documented? Can the
executive board have a place or system where community
services hours are inputted online?
Presentation from Harry Gregory (Environmental Club Senator)
a. Presentation on Climate Disruption. There is an investment petition
for fossil fuels for cleaner sources of energy. Environmental Club
wants SSU to be fossil fuel free. Bring petition forms back by
November 5, 2014.
Announcements/ Upcoming Events
a. If you have an event please send it to Kendall Walker in advance.
b. Collegiate 100 Week is October 27, 2014 – October 31, 2014
c. AAMI male initiative will be on November 7, 2014
d. Can Parking and Transportation lower the fines and parking
regulations?
e. The CESE will be having a car wash at Advanced Auto Parts 9am3pm
f. November 8, 2014 Band Day has a recruiting event for high school
bands. Can organizations donate bottles of water for Band Day? You
will be thanked during the halftime show.
g. Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. are having a Scavenger Hunt
October 25, 2014
h. Sports Management Club is looking for host for basketball games.

j. In order to leave early you have to give Vice-President, Kendall
Walker, a notification prior to the student senate meeting.
k. Junior Class SGA and RHA are having a campus beautification day on
October 25, 2014
l. Lights On Event at Savannah High School from 3-6 p.m. come
volunteer.
m. Kappa Kappa Psi presents Exer-psi-ze with the psi on Friday,
October 24, 2014 in Kennedy parking lot
