Casillas, PI) Grant Objective: The purpose of this grant is to implement and evaluate the evidence-based prevention program SafeCare at nine sites across the state of Colorado. Role: Associate Director 2013-2016 2013-VA-CX-0002, Long-Term Impact of a Positive Youth Development Program on Dating Violence Outcomes During the Transition to Adulthood National Institute of Justice, (H. Taussig, PI) Grant Objective: The purpose of this grant is to examine the developmental trajectories associated with dating violence (DV) from pre-adolescence through young adulthood with a high-risk population (youth with a history of maltreatment and foster care) with a focus on the potential buffering impact of a prevention program on DV outcomes. Role: Co- Principal Investigator Garrido 4 2013-2016 DJ-13-001464, Research on Delinquency and Juvenile Justice Involvement among High-Risk Youth Justice Assistance Grant, (H. Taussig, PI) Grant Objective: This grant will examine whether an intensive mentoring program for children at great risk of juvenile justice involvement reduces such involvement. Role: Co-Principal Investigator Completed Research Support 2013-2014 Colorado Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute, Childhood Violence Exposure, Executive Function, and Violence Perpetration/Victimization in Adolescence Grant Objective: Using data collected from a community sample of adolescents and their caregivers, this pilot grant will examine the associations between violence exposure and violence perpetration and whether youths’ executive functions mediate this association.
