With Colorado serving as the petri
dish of the marijuana legalization
experiment, DU's department of
Media, Film and Journalism studies
(MFJS) became the first to offer a
course solely devoted to cannabis
journalism, during summer interterm
2015.

I remember landing in Colorado
Springs, Colo. and entering the U.S.
for the first time quite vividly. I was
excited about going to college, being
in a new country and a million other
things. Then, culture shock set in
when I realized that Colorado Springs
lacked viable public transportation.
