· Mr. Bob Dabney is a fascinating man and one of the first (if not the first) undergraduate
to major from UVA’s Spanish department (in 1953).

First Years: Host Prospective Students through the Monroe Society
· The Monroe Society coordinates first-year hosts for prospective students
· Hundreds of high school students visit during April to make their final college decisions.

Paid summer internship
· Team of interns to make a series of community presentations with Virginia Organizing
· Engage community members on the issue of Social Security.
· 20 hours/week (locations: Tidewater, Richmond Metro area, Fredericksburg/Prince
William, and Southwest VA)
· Stipend of $2,000
· Mandatory two-day training in Charlottesville, June 13-14.

· Pass/Fail. · Taught by guest lecturers from UCS, the Comm School and others
