Leafhopper counts were moderate, but beet leafhopper numbers were very low. Pale green weevils, Polydrudus impressifrons, made an appearance on sticky traps for a second week. These weevils generally emerge in late spring (May/June). They feed on the leaves of trees such as apple, birch, black locust, elm, linden, oak, peach, pear, plum, poplar, rose, strawberry and willow.
