FYI
Potato tuberworm moths were absent in all sites this
week. Leafhopper counts were moderate, but beet
leafhopper numbers were very low. Pale green
weevils, Polydrudus impressifrons, made an
appearance on sticky traps for a second week. These
weevils generally emerge in late spring (May/June).
They feed on the leaves of trees such as apple, birch,
black locust, elm, linden, oak, peach, pear, plum,
poplar, rose, strawberry and willow.
