From the Irrigated Agricultural Entomology Program
Next week will be the last Potato Update of the season. This season just flew by and I cannot believe we
are harvesting potatoes already!!! I want to thank the entire Irrigated Agricultural Entomology Program
(Rondon program) for working so hard this season counting hundreds of samples on a weekly basis. Special
thank you to Ruben Marchosky for organizing the trapping route and to Alex Murphy for receiving samples
from growers.
I want to take this opportunity to introduce a new member in my lab: Dr. Erik Echegaray. Erik
joined my lab this month to start working on several ecological aspects of the potato psyllid this coming
winter and next growing season.
As season ends, please make sure to keep us informed about any issues in the Basin.
We take this opportunity to remind readers about the 2012 Farm Fair Classic. Mark your calendar:
November 28-30. We hope to see you at Farm Fair.
