attendants had a rate of 526 per
10,000 full-time workers, 4 times
the average rate. Nursing aides'
duties include such tasks as
moving, bathing, and dressing
patients. Registered nurses had a
rate of 132, only slightly higher
than the average rate.
Retail salespersons had a high
number of DAFW injuries and
illnesses, but a rate of only 106
per 10,000 full-time workers,
lower than the average rate of
128. The difference is due to the
large number of people working
as retail salespersons.
