Service occupations had the most DAFW injuries and illnesses, and their rate was 27 percent higher than the average for all occupations. Sales and related occupations, professional and related occupations, office and administrative support occupations, and management, business, and financial occupations had lower DAFW rates than the average private industry rate. C H A R T 2 0 In 2006, transportation and material moving occupations had the highest rate of injuries and illnesses requiring days away from work (DAFW) of all occupation groups—301 per 10,000 full-time workers. They also had the second-highest number of these injuries and illnesses. Construction and extraction occupations had the second-highest DAFW rate of injuries and illnesses, more than twice the average for all occupations.
