Illness rates among serviceproviding industry sectors ranged from 9.9 cases per 10,000 fulltime employees in finance and insurance to 40.8 cases in health care and social assistance in 2006. Among the 15 service-providing sectors, only information and finance and insurance experienced significant declines in their respective illness rates from 2005 to 2006. The informationsector rate dropped from 19.1 to 14.0 cases per 10,000 full-time employees; the rate of finance and insurance fell from 13.2 to 9.9. Illness rates for the remaining service-providing industry sectors were relatively unchanged from 2005 to 2006.
