The illness rate also declined significantly for goods-producing industries, while the illness rate for service-providing industries did not change significantly from 2005 to 2006. Illness rates have been higher in goods-producing industries than in service-providing industries for each of the last 4 years. Rates for illness estimates are calculated per 10,000 full-time employees. Rates for injuries and illnesses (together) and rates for injuries alone are calculated per 100 full-time employees.
