Musculoskeletal disorders accounted for almost onethird of the injuries and illnesses with days away from work. The percentage of total cases involving days away from work that resulted from musculoskeletal disorders decreased slightly from 2002 to 2004. From 2003 to 2004, musculoskeletal disorder cases fell by about 7 percent, compared with an overall decrease of 4 percent for total cases with days away from work.
