illnesses with days away
from work among Hispanic
and Latino workers in
2004, up by 4,000 over
2003.
Overall, Hispanic and Latino workers experienced a larger proportion of
occupational injuries and illnesses in 2004. Natural resources and mining and
leisure and hospitality were the only major industry sectors in which these
workers represented a smaller fraction of cases than in the previous year.
Employers do not report race and ethnicity data for about 30 percent of cases.
