Except for 14-to-15-year olds, the median number of days away from work due to nonfatal occupational injuries and illnesses increased as the age of the worker increased in 2004. The median number of days away from work for employees 65 years and older was 18 in both 2003 and 2004. The median number of days away from work for employees 35 to 44 years and 45 to 54 years each dropped by 1 day.
