Work-related injuries occurred at a rate of 4.5 cases per 100 full-time workers for total private industry, but varied by industry. Overall injury incidence rates ranged from 1.5 cases per 100 full-time workers in financial activities to 7.0 cases per 100-full-time workers in transportation and warehousing. There was also variation within each industry. For example, in manufacturing, injury rates ranged from 2.0 for computer and electronic product manufacturing to 9.5 for wood product manufacturing.
