Chart 5.

In 2004, manufacturing
was the lone industry that
had more cases with only
job transfer or restriction
than cases with days away
from work.
Almost all industries recorded more cases with days away from work than cases
with only job transfer or restriction.
Approximately 2.2 million injuries and illnesses were serious enough to require
recuperation away from work, transfer to another job, restricted duties at work,
or a combination of these actions.
Manufacturing recorded the highest numbers both for cases with days away
from work and for cases with only job transfer or restriction.
