UVA GLOBAL LENS Photography Exhibit It is with great pleasure that the Global On-Grounds Committee announces the inaugural juried UVA Global Lens Photography Exhibit. The exhibit is intended to highlight the international diversity the University has on Grounds, the world-class programs abroad offered to UVA students, as well as our global reach with networks of UVA alumni and friends around the world. UVA Global Lens Photography Exhibit Submission Criteria We invite you to submit photographs that you have taken of people or places around the world or on Grounds that highlight the global character of the University. Submitted photographs will be reviewed by the Global On-Grounds Committee. Selected photographs will be printed, framed, and displayed as an exhibit in Newcomb Hall to be released during International Education Week at UVA. You must be a UVA student, faculty, or staff member to submit a photograph for consideration. Photographs must be taken by the individual submitting the work. 1. Photographs must be submitted in digital format to [email protected]. 2. You may submit up to three (3) photographs. 3. Photographs may be digitally altered using software such as Adobe Photoshop. It is recommended, but not required, that photographs be greater than 2 MB in size in order to ensure quality when enlarged. 4. Photography must be size such that it can print as an 8-inch by 10-inch image without cropping. 5. A title and description of your photograph is required with a submission. If your photograph is selected, the title and description along with your name will be displayed beside the photograph while exhibited. Please limit descriptions to less than 100 words. 6. The photograph submission deadline is midnight, October 7, 2015. 7. By submitting your photograph(s), you agree to the following: All submissions must be appropriate for viewing by members of any age, social, or ethnic group who are a part of or visiting the UVA community. The decision of the committee is final, and committee members retain the right to reject any submission deemed inappropriate. The University of Virginia may reprint submitted photographs without restriction in any type of media, including print and online.
