Doctor of Pharmacy Program Scholarships:
ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIPS
Alpha Rho Chapter of Kappa Epsilon Annual Scholarship - This scholarship is awarded to a full-time
pharmacy student who is a member of the Kappa Epsilon Fraternity in good academic standing. Preference is
given to students who meet the minimum established eligibility requirement set forth by the chapter and have
demonstrated financial need.
CPHS Alumni Association Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a full-time pharmacy student based
on financial need and GPA. Preference is given to students who are actively involved with the CPHS Alumni
Association. Scholarships are selected by the CPHS Alumni Association.
Cardinal Health Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a second or third year pharmacy student with a
demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in independent pharmacy.
Carroll Pharmacy Annual Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a full-time pharmacy student with
demonstrated financial need. First preference is given to students with an interest in independent community
pharmacy. Second preference is given to students from Johnson County, NC or Eastern North Carolina. Third
preference is to a student with financial need.
CVS Pharmacy Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a full-time pharmacy student in good standing
with an interest in chain pharmacy. Preference is given to current CVS employees. There are typically 4 CVS
scholarship awarded every year.
Florence Rogers Charitable Trust Scholarship - This scholarship is awarded to full-time pharmacy students
from Cumberland County with a 2.0 GPA or higher and must be used for educational expenses only. If awarded
the recipient should return to Cumberland County after graduation to work as a pharmacist or related field for at
least one year for each year they are awarded the scholarship. The number of recipients will vary from year to
year.
Ed & Carla Herring – This scholarship is awarded to a full-time pharmacy student with an interest in
community pharmacy who is a resident of North Carolina.
May Family Annual Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a full-time pharmacy student with an
interest in the area of Pharmacy Practice and possibility of pursing an academic career in the area of Pharmacy
Practice. Preference is given first to students with demonstrated financial need and second to students who are
from North Carolina.

Medley Family Annual Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a full-time pharmacy student from North
Carolina with demonstrated financial need. First preference is given to a student from Dunn, NC, second
preference is given to a student from Harnett County, third preference is for a student with financial need.
Moving Forward Giving Back Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a full-time pharmacy student
who was a Campbell University Pre-Pharmacy major and actively involved in the Campbell Pre-Pharmacy club.
Students are recommended for this scholarship.
North Carolina Mutual Wholesale Drug Company Scholarship - This scholarship is awarded to a full-time
pharmacy student with academic ability, enrolled in the College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences.
NCPhA Endowment Fund Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a full-time pharmacy student in good
standing.
The Pharmacy Network Foundation, Inc. Scholarship - This scholarship is awarded to a full-time pharmacy
student with academic ability, with an interest in community pharmacy. There are 24 Pharmacy Network
Scholarships given out per year.
Samuel Tate Powell Memorial Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a full-time pharmacy student in
good academic standing.
*Ransdell Family Fund Scholarship – This scholarship emphasizes advancement of pharmacy healthcare in
North Carolina counties experiencing a shortage of pharmacy professionals. It is awarded to a full-time student
in good academic standing with a 2.5 or higher GPA and demonstrated financial need. The student must agree
to work in an underserved community upon graduation for three (3) years total. Students must express a desire
to bring adequate healthcare to a rural population. Visit the NC State Education Assistance Authority for
information on counties with primary care physician shortages. Separate essay in common application required.
Rite Aid Annual Pharmacy Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a full-time pharmacy student with
academic ability and demonstrated financial need, enrolled in the College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences.
Beta Kappa Chapter of Phi Delta Chi Pharmaceutical Fraternity Dr. Penny S. Shelton Scholarship – This
scholarship is awarded to a full-time pharmacy student who is a current Phi Delta Chi member in good standing.
Preference is given to a student who has been actively involved in the fraternity for at least one full semester,
who demonstrates leadership and promotes the science of pharmacy and who has not been a previous recipient
of this scholarship. Preference is also given to students with demonstrated financial need.
*Stedman Drug Good Neighbor – This scholarship is awarded to a full-time second, third, or fourth year
pharmacy students with a GPA of 2.5 or higher. Preference is given to students from North Carolina with an
interest in community pharmacy. Separate essay in common application required.

The Symonds Family Annual Pharmacy Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a full-time pharmacy
student with demonstrated financial need and a strong interest in pursuing a career in the pharmaceutical
industry. Preference is given to students who have a 3.0 GPA or significant improvement in GPA.
Walgreens Diversity Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a full-time pharmacy student in good
academic standing with a strong commitment and follow-through to diversity initiatives in the College of
Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Preference is given to current Walgreen employees who have above average
academics.
Walgreens Diversity & Inclusion Excellence Award – This scholarship is awarded to a full-time pharmacy
student who embraces and promotes diversity and inclusion initiatives in the College of Pharmacy and Health
Sciences. Students should have played an active role in educating others about diversity and inclusion related
matters impacting the pharmacy profession. Preference will be given to current Walgreens employees.
Wal-Mart Pharmacy Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a full-time pharmacy student with a 3.0
cumulative GPA and high scholastic standing in his/her last three years in school, demonstrated financial need,
and strong leadership qualities with experience (current or previous) in community practice and a strong desire
to enter community practice upon graduation. Three scholarships are awarded annually.

ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIPS
25th Anniversary Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a full-time pharmacy student.
Raenelle B. and Claude S. Abernethy Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a full-time pharmacy
student with demonstrated academic ability and financial need. Second preference is given to eligible CPHS
undergraduate students.
Janice & Alexander Alexander Pharmacy Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded annually to a full-time
pharmacy student who has demonstrated financial need and academic achievement.
Pharmacy Alumni Association Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to students with demonstrated
financial need who exemplify student leadership in their respective programs and shows commitment to the
profession and school. Preference is given to members of the Pharmacy Alumni Student Association (PASA).
Scholarships are selected by the CPHS Alumni Association Board of Directors.
School of Pharmacy Alumni Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a worthy pharmacy student who
has demonstrated academic ability and financial need. Scholarships are selected by the CPHS Alumni
Association.

Newman D. and Helen M. Buck Pharmacy Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a full-time
pharmacy student who has demonstrated academic achievement.
Major Sam Byrd Pharmacy Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a full-time pharmacy student with
demonstrated academic ability and financial need, enrolled in the College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences.
Verda Harris and A. Hartwell Campbell Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a full-time pharmacy
student with demonstrated academic ability and financial need, enrolled in the College of Pharmacy & Health
Sciences.
Cashion-Childress Pharmacy Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a full-time pharmacy student
enrolled in the Doctor of Pharmacy Program who is pursuing a joint PharmD /MBA in their 2nd, 3rd, or 4th
year of Pharmacy School and a resident of North Carolina.
H. Carter & Allison C. Cobb Pharmacy Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a full-time student
enrolled in the Doctor of Pharmacy Program from North Carolina. First preference from Gaston County; second
preference from Lincoln County, third preference any student from North Carolina.
D'Alonzo Family Pharmacy Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a full-time pharmacy student
enrolled in the Campbell University College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences. Students must have demonstrated
financial need, strong academic performance, good conduct, good citizenship, community service, and other
leadership and involvement activities to be considered.
Edna E. Danner Pharmacy Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a full-time pharmacy student from
North Carolina with demonstrated academic ability and financial need. Preference shall be given to residents of
Catawba County, North Carolina.
Mae I. Danner Pharmacy Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a full-time pharmacy student from
North Carolina with demonstrated academic ability and financial need. Preference shall be given to residents of
Catawba County, North Carolina.
Susie A. Danner Pharmacy Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a full-time pharmacy student from
North Carolina with demonstrated academic ability and financial need. Preference shall be given to residents of
Catawba County, North Carolina.
Gary Dunham Memorial Pharmacy Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a full-time pharmacy
student with demonstrated academic ability and financial need.
Gary Dunham, Pharm D Kappa Psi Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a full-time pharmacy
student with demonstrated academic ability and financial need. Student must be a Kappa Psi brother to receive
this scholarship.

Margaret D. and Ryland P. Edwards Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a full-time pharmacy
student with demonstrated academic ability and financial need.
Lucille L. Ellis Family Pharmacy Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a full-time pharmacy student
with demonstrated academic ability and financial need.
M. Keith Fearing, Jr. and Don K. Richie Pharmacy Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a full-time
pharmacy student with demonstrated academic ability and financial need.
Howard Q. and Mescal S. Ferguson Pharmacy Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a full-time
pharmacy student with demonstrated academic ability and financial need. There are 4 scholarships given each
year.
Thomas Henry Furman Memorial Pharmacy Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a full-time
pharmacy student with demonstrated academic ability. Preference shall be given to students who demonstrate a
commitment to Christian principles.
Dr. G. Fred Hale Memorial Pharmacy Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a full-time pharmacy
student with demonstrated academic ability and financial need. There are 4 scholarships given each year.
Brian P. Harrington Memorial Pharmacy – This scholarship is awarded to a full-time pharmacy student with
demonstrated academic ability and financial need.
Blanton A. Hartness Pharmacy Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a full-time pharmacy student
with demonstrated academic ability and financial need.
Rebekah Lynn Heldreth Pharmacy Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a full-time pharmacy
student with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Preference shall be given to graduates from Chatham High School, Chatham,
Virginia; students from Danville Community College, Danville, Virginia; residents of Pittsylvania County,
Virginia; or residents of the State of North Carolina.
Dr. Thomas J. Holmes Class of 2009 Pharmacy Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a full-time
pharmacy student in good academic standing.
Jessica Ann Kalinowski Pharmacy Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a full-time pharmacy student
with a minimum overall GPA of 3.0 (and a minimum 3.3 GPA during the first 2 years of the
program). Preference shall be given to residents of Henry County, Patrick County, or Franklin County, Virginia.
Ronald W. & Suzan Maddox Pharmacy Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a full-time able
deserving worthy pharmacy student. First preference is given to a mother returning to pharmacy school to
complete her education. Second preference is given to a father returning to school.

Russell Mantooth & Holly McReynolds Families Memorial Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a
full-time pharmacy student with demonstrated academic ability.
Marks Family Pharmacy Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a full-time 4th year pharmacy student.
First preference is given to a 4th year pharmacy student planning to practice in an independent community
pharmacy setting. Second preference is given to a 4th year pharmacy student planning to practice in a
community pharmacy setting.
Marshbanks Memorial Pharmacy Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a full-time pharmacy student
with demonstrated academic ability. There are 2 scholarships awarded yearly.
Mast Drug Pharmacy Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a full-time pharmacy student. Preference
shall be given to residents of Robeson, Vance, or Martin Counties, North Carolina; then North Carolina
counties contiguous to Robeson, Vance, or Martin Counties.
L.E. McKnight Memorial Pharmacy Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a worthy pharmacy
student with demonstrated academic ability.
*W. Whitaker and Dorothy R. Moose Pharmacy Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a pharmacy
student. Preference shall be given to students who express a keen interest in independent community pharmacy.
Separate essay in common application required.
Wayne Neal Memorial Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a full-time pharmacy student in good
academic standing with a strong interest in community pharmacy.
Oley Family Pharmacy Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a full-time pharmacy student with
demonstrated academic ability and financial need.
O'Neal Family Endowed Pharmacy Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a full-time student with
demonstrated academic ability and financial need, enrolled in the College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences. First
preference shall be given to residents of Beaufort County, NC or Eastern North Carolina; second preference to
students with an interest in independent community pharmacy.
A. Leroy and Sara Kanoy Parker Pharmacy Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a student enrolled
in the College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences who indicates academic ability. Preference shall be given to
residents of Greensboro, NC; Guilford County, NC; the area encompassed by the Liberty Association of the
Baptist State Convention of North Carolina; OR the state of North Carolina.
Pharmacy Practice Department Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a deserving full-time student
enrolled in the Doctor of Pharmacy program with demonstrated financial need. Scholarships are selected by the
Department of Pharmacy Practice.

*Brie Anne Reynolds Memorial Delta Lambda Chapter of Kappa Psi Scholarship – This scholarship
is awarded to a full-time pharmacy student who is a Kappa Psi brother with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Scholarships are selected by the Kappa Psi Fraternity. Separate application and essay required. Application
available spring 2016.
Ralph P. Rogers, Jr. Pharmacy Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to an eligible pharmacy student
during the last two years of his/her degree in pharmacy. Student must be a resident of North Carolina, South
Carolina, or Virginia with preference being given to students who express an interest in community pharmacy
practice; and are employees (or their children) of Mutual Drug; or are employees (or their children) of Mutual
Drug Member Stores; or are owners (or their children) of Mutual Drug Member Stores.
Kitty & Leon Rumley Pharmacy Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a pharmacy student who
demonstrates academic ability and financial need.
School of Pharmacy Class of 2008 Pharmacy Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a full-time
pharmacy student.
Seaburg-Massengill Family Pharmacy Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a full time Doctor of
Pharmacy student. Preference is given to a 1st year student with a GPA of 3.0.
Robert G. Shelton Pharmacy Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a student enrolled in the College
of Pharmacy & Health Sciences as a full time Pharmacy Student. First preference is given to students from
Kentucky or West Virginia; second preference to pharmacy students from NC.
Elgie Lee May and Lonnie Dalton Small Pharmacy Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to full-time
pharmacy student with demonstrated academic ability and financial need.
Henry and Tracey Smith Pharmacy Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a full-time pharmacy
student who demonstrates academic ability.
Letizia Antonietta Thrift Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a worthy student involved in church
and community activities pursuing studies in pharmacy who demonstrates academic ability. Preference shall be
given to applicants who are also involved in community service and/or church related work. There are 2
scholarships awarded annually.
Jack G. & Eloise Harrington Watts Pharmacy Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a full-time
worthy student enrolled in the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Preference shall be given to students
from Alamance, Columbus, and Union counties, respectively. Preference shall also be given to students who
complete their pre-pharmacy studies at Campbell University. There are 2 scholarships are awarded yearly.

Mitchell & Linda Watts Family Foundation Pharmacy Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a
student enrolled in the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences Pharmacy program. Preference is given to
students with demonstrated financial need and an interest in community pharmacy.
E. Carlyle & Rose R. West Pharmacy Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a full-time pharmacy
student with demonstrated academic ability.
Robert F. Whaley Pharmacy Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a student enrolled in the Campbell
University College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences Pharmacy Program who demonstrates academic
ability. Preference shall be given to students pursuing a pharmacy degree after having completed
a baccalaureate degree in another discipline.
Joe and Ina Whitehead Pharmacy Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a minority student who
participated in HPREP and is enrolled in one of the pharmacy degree programs who demonstrates academic
ability.
Mildred H. and Norman A. Wiggins Pharmacy Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to a pharmacy
student based on character, scholarship ability, and financial need. Preference shall be given to residents of
Burlington, North Carolina; Alamance County, North Carolina; Coats, North Carolina; Harnett County, North
Carolina; Nash County, North Carolina; Forsyth County, North Carolina; or the State of North Carolina.
