The Athens Tech Foundation and Athens Technical College Host 2nd Annual Legacy
Awards
The Legacy awards ceremony was held recently at Marswood Hall, St. Philothea Greek
Orthodox Church to celebrate businesses and individuals who have been supportive of
Athens Technical College. The theme of the event was “It don’t mean a thing if you ain’t
got that swing.” A rendition of classic times gone by mixed with the introduction of
Culinary Arts classes at Athens Technical College.
Chef Michael Swaim and Culinary Arts students prepared the meal and students in the
Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism program worked at the event.
Awards included:
Representative Bob Smith- State Employee/Elected Official Award
Jerry Barrow- ATC Faculty and Staff Award
Grant Tribble- Volunteer of the Year
Williford Family- Benefactor of the Year
Merial Ltd.- Business of the Year
Jackson EMC- Business of the Year
ARMC (Athens Regional Medical Center)- Business of the Year
