Dental students shine in National Boards
performance

programs at Athens Technical College continue to shine
regarding the National Board required for students to
obtain their certification or licensing, according to Vice
President for Academic Affairs Joyce Sansing.
Dr. Sansing announced recently that the dental
hygiene class of 2012 posted a 100 percent pass rate on
National Boards and as well as a 100 percent pass on the
Regional Clinical Boards (CRDTS). The dental hygiene
students are awaiting their licenses to practice.
Students in the dental assisting class of 2012
completed their final section of National Boards, and they
also all passed, designating them as Certified Dental
Assistants (CDA’s) and qualifying them as Expanded
Functions Certified in the state of Georgia, Dr. Sansing
