Walton County businessman and engineer Jimmy Parker recently joined the Athens Technical College Board of Directors as its newest
member.
Clarke County Magistrate Judge Patricia Barron, chair of the Athens Technical College Board of Directors, installed Parker August 28, during
the group’s first meeting of the 2012-2013 year.
Mr. Parker, an engineer and vice president with Lawrenceville-based Precision Planning Inc.’s Monroe office, will represent Walton County,
home to one of Athens Technical College’s three branch campuses.
Mr. Parker serves as manager of Precision Planning’s water resources group. He has accrued 19 years of experience in water resources
engineering, working directly for municipal water systems and in the private consulting field. Prior to working with Precision Planning, he served as
a member of the board of the Upper Oconee Basin Water Authority during the planning, permitting, and construction of the Bear Creek Reservoir
jointly developed by Athens-Clarke, Jackson, Barrow and Oconee counties. He currently serves as program manager for the Hard Labor Creek
