Ms. Lamb worked with the city of Miami Police Department for 22 years. During her tenure with the Miami police force, she supervised patrol operations, oversaw emergency mobilization, and handled all types of critical incidents, ranging from crowd control to shootings to natural disasters. She also served as a field training lieutenant and worked closely with the community and the school systems. Following her retirement as a captain with the Miami Police Department, Ms. Lamb moved to Dacula, and began working with the Gwinnett County Public Schools as a substitute teacher with at-risk students at the Give Center and at Phoenix High School. She also worked in security at the U.S. District Courthouse in downtown. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in criminal justice from Union University in Miami. Ms. Lamb said he is excited about her role in security at Athens Technical College. “It is my pleasure to have been given this opportunity as your new director of security and emergency preparedness here at Athens Technical College, and I assure that I will provide the most professional and quality service,” Ms. Lamb said.
