Meeting called to order at 2:10 pm. Introductions were made by Becca White and Mark Webb.
Business
Becca White provided Parking and Transportation updates.
o Work is being done on several garages to make improvements. Repairs were
just completed on the McLeod Garage. Minor repairs will begin on the Lee
Street garage and will lead into larger repairs beginning in the spring of 2012.
Gates in the Culbreth Garage are now down from 6 am to 4:30 pm.
o UTS created the Hereford/IRC route to provide morning service for students
needing to get to Central Grounds.
o Zimride has been launched at UVA. Zimride is a private ridesharing network for
UVA.
o P&T will be having its audit for E3 status on November 2nd.
o There is a possibility that there could be a bikeshare grant that would allow UVA
to have 11 bikeshare stations, housing 100 bicycles.
o License Plate Recognition has arrived. Currently, P&T is learning to use so it can
be best utilized.
The agenda for this upcoming year was discussed. Issues to be covered will be handicap parking
and service pass regulations. Student issues and the P&T budget will be covered as well. If
anyone has additional suggestions, please let Mark, Becca or Nicole know.
